La Belle Epoch Tapestry Hat

La Belle Epoch Tapestry Hat

Just after the turn of the 19th century, there was a period of Edwardian fashion called
La Belle Epoch. The beautiful era, was known for luxurious fabrics that were used in a more natural aesthetic. The lines of the silhouette were less constricted, as Paul Poiret, and Madeleine Vionnet had abolished the corset from womens' wardrobes. Hats were rather large and showy, and played beautifully as the toppers to the more svelt look.
This rolled back brim style hat would have been de riguer in 1902-1914. Such a hat may have strolled the promenade deck of the Titanic!
Here, I offer an opportunity to the hat enthusiast, to custom order this lovely, in a rich combination of tapestry and velvet, with soutache braid trim, lots of gorgeous feathers, and an original collaged brooch of antique jet buttons, as the accent. As this prototype is from my personal collection, and not for sale, every effort will be made to find a very similar tapestry color story. Your head measurements will be all important as well, when the order is placed. Please read store policies before placing your order.

Please allow 90 days to create, plus shipping time. Sometimes, it may be done sooner.
